The value chain is divided into three areas that influence each other but can also function independently:
- Offering physical, hybrid, and digital platforms in Basel, Zurich, and other locations in Switzerland and abroad, as well as online.
- Operating our own infrastructure in Basel and Zurich and managing our physical platforms as well as guest events (guest trade fairs, conferences, and other events).
- Supporting clients throughout the realm of Experience Marketing, with comprehensive solutions from strategy and creation to implementation, worldwide.
Economic Effects
According to studies, trade fair companies generate an “indirect profitability” of eight to ten times their own turnover. Only about 20 to 25% of the expenditures incurred by an exhibiting company during its participation in a trade fair go into the coffers of the trade fair organizer. The remaining 75 to 80% benefit various suppliers and service providers.

Positive Impacts
Other effects, in particular the positive impact of successful marketing platforms on relevant industries and companies, cannot be quantified.
For the venues, live events often have “lighthouse effects” in terms of tourism, as they exert an influence and appeal that spreads throughout the city or country. For instance, the Basel region benefits from hosting leading global events such as Art Basel in Basel, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong, which broadcast the name of their “hometown” around the world.
