The Weinfestival Basel 2024 is set to open its doors on Saturday, October 26, inviting wine lovers to explore an impressive selection of wines from 115 producers and traders. Alongside the extensive wine offerings, eight culinary exhibitors will delight guests with a variety of gourmet specialties. Visitors can also immerse themselves in wine-related workshops and masterclasses, creating a comprehensive experience centered around wine appreciation.
Extensive exhibitor range: From regional to international
This year’s festival showcases a dynamic mix of long-established and new exhibitors. Notable regional names include Hahn-Rickli, Weingut Jauslin, Paul Ullrich, and Kaufmann Wine & Drinks. Additionally, exhibitors from all major “SWISS WINE” regions will be represented, such as St. Jodern Kellerei and Tenud from Valais, La Torre from Graubünden, and more. International participants include the Elfenhof winery from Austria, Landesweingut Laimburg from South Tyrol, and Piwi Kollektiv from Germany.
Workshops and Masterclasses: Focusing on the Wine Experience
“We’ve enhanced the festival’s concept to offer even more enriching experiences for wine lovers,” says René Zürcher, Head of Product for Weinfestival Basel 2024. The expanded program includes exclusive boutique workshops and masterclasses in partnership with renowned wineries, offering guests deeper insights into the world of wine.
WINEArt by…: Where Wine Meets Art
In collaboration with the Kunst Werk Basel association, the Weinfestival Basel 2024 will also feature a unique art exhibition, “WINEArt by…”, where local artists will present their works, merging the themes of wine and art in a new, creative way.
