On July 5th, the "Bambusnest" will open its doors in the Messe Quarter of Basel. The new outdoor location in the historic Rundhof of Messe Basel combines a beach bar atmosphere with a food market, inviting guests to enjoy culinary delights in a tropical ambiance with chill DJ beats.

Center for Culture and Enjoyment: The Messe Quarter Basel

Initiatives like the Bambusnest contribute to revitalizing the halls and squares around Messe Basel. The district around Messe Basel, known as the “Messe Quarter,” serves as a universal space for events and entertainment offerings. The flexible infrastructures of Messe and the Congress Center provide the ideal setting for events of all kinds, from exhibitions and concerts to international congresses. Currently, the Marvel exhibition is attracting many visitors. The wide range of leisure and culinary facilities ensures there is something for everyone, whether for a coffee, a business lunch, or a social dinner – the various restaurants and bars in the Messe Quarter offer something for every preference and create an inviting atmosphere for young and old. Highlights such as Switzerland’s largest indoor go-kart track and a wheat field at Messeplatz complement the offerings. An interactive soccer field, announcing the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, is open to all.

Roman Imgrüth says, “We will continuously expand the leisure and cultural offerings around Basel’s Messeplatz to develop the Messe Quarter into a vibrant cultural area. The diverse events and exhibitions already regularly attract a large local and international audience, promoting the regional economy and contributing to the social and cultural diversity of the city.”
