Around 270 exhibitors from seven European countries presented themselves at Giardina. Covering an area of around 30,000 sqm, the halls of Messe Zürich were transformed into blooming urban gardens, expansive roof terraces and enchanted gardens, which illustrated this year’s main theme “Multifaceted and enjoyable – how a multi-layered garden enhances the living area” in a wide variety of ways. The topics of vertical greening, soil scarcity, heat reduction, ecological cycles, sustainability, and biodiversity were given particular attention.
The urban gardening area at Giardina clearly illustrated how creative design and innovative cultivation methods make it possible to create a green oasis with edible plants even in the smallest of spaces. Practical solutions inspired visitors to enjoy gardening regardless of their living situation. Visitors were also impressed by the range of workshops and presentations in the forum. “The close cooperation between our exhibitors and the needs of our visitors provided us with valuable ideas for expanding our range. Based on this exchange, this year we offered the Giardina Forum and a series of workshops. These new elements have not only enriched the exhibition experience, but have also given our visitors the opportunity to learn and be inspired,” summarises Giardina director Encarnación Dellai.
During the conception of the new offers, the networking among our exhibitors was decisive. It is clear that Giardina is not only a hotspot for end consumers, but is also used as a platform for networking within the industry.
The next Giardina will take place from March 12 to 16, 2025 at Messe Zürich.
