Hosting the ESC will bring significant economic benefits to Basel. “An event like the ESC acts as an economic engine. Thousands of national and international guests, along with global media presence, lead to high hotel occupancy, full restaurants, and a lively city scene. This event not only generates short-term revenue but also boosts Basel’s long-term and sustainable appeal as a tourist destination,” explains Raphael Wyniger, a Basel entrepreneur, hotelier, and member of the MCH Group’s Board of Directors. According to Basel Tourism, nearly all hotel rooms in Basel for May 2025 are already booked.
