Walk-through backdrops, interactive elements and the immersive sound experience of film composer Lorne Balfe bring the world of comic books to life. In addition to these attractions, the exhibition also pays tribute to creative minds such as Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, whose creations laid the foundation for the ever-expanding and branching stories of the Marvel Universe as we know it today.
Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes features numerous artifacts, including real costumes, original props and original artwork, from the origins of the Marvel Universe in 1940s New York to the present day. The exhibition demonstrates the enormous influence of superheroes on global pop culture while revealing the stories behind individual characters such as Captain America and Captain Marvel. During the tour, visitors can feel their way through the mysterious mirrored dimension of Doctor Strange or pose for a selfie next to life-size figures of Black Panther or Spider-Man.
The exhibition is presented by Thomas Dürr for act entertainment AG, one of the largest and most active event organizers in Switzerland, in partnership with MCH Group at Messe Basel.
