At the beginning of July 2020, the MCH Group presented the RELOADING LIVE concept together with the organisers of the design fair blickfang and other partners. Together with selected blickfang exhibitors, the MCH protection concept was tested live in a showroom in the Basel exhibition hall. Staged as a holistic “visitor journey” for customers and partners, it illustrated how events can be held in a responsible and safe manner.
The MCH Group shows how events can be proceed responsibly and safely.
Reloading LiveThe comprehensive hygiene and safety measures proved successful at RELOADING LIVE have now been implemented at the Basel design fair from 16 to 18 October. In the run-up to the fair, experts from the MCH Group provided the blickfang organisers with detailed advice and coaching on how to offer exhibitors and visitors a safe and carefree experience.
The safety measures included that tickets for this year’s blickfang Basel were only available online, opening hours were extended and all exhibitors and visitors wore mouth and nose protection in the exhibition halls, with the exception of the catering area. The exhibition hall was additionally air-conditioned by a modern ventilation system and the air was permanently exchanged.
“Safely discovering good design – this motto applies to us in general and this year in particular,” says blickfang Managing Director Dieter Hofmann. “In Switzerland, traditionally well done meets well thought out – and perfectly implemented.”
The exhibitors were also visibly satisfied. Barbara Reber from THISMADE: “At first glance, fewer visitors came to blickfang Basel, but they were exactly the right visitors – the visitors who really appreciate small labels, our work and our products.” And Gloria Orefice from Ida Gut: “The atmosphere at the design fair was very good, because you could feel the visitors’ anticipation that they could finally meet their favourite designers in person again. blickfang once again gave us the opportunity to invite our customers to visit us on site and to see them again after a long time.”
